Mission/Mandate

The objective of the Michael Otto Foundation is to promote and support projects targeted at protecting seas, lakes, rivers and wetlands. Water does not recognise political boundaries; it connects countries, continents and cultures. The same thing applies to the Michael Otto Foundation. It brings together different interest groups such as business, politics, NGOs and the general public.
