Start a New Page

It is simple! Just type the title of the new page into the "search box" in the left-hand menu and click 'create page'. Choose the template for the article and fill in the text under respective headings, and click SAVE. Be sure to categorise the article, by page type and subject matter. This will enable your welcomed contribution to be found in keyword searches. It will take less than 10 minutes to share your valuable knowledge with others in the water and sanitation community of practice. So, what are you waiting for??!! Contribute now!

Upload a File

You may want to upload documents to support your article, or add an image or two to make it attractive to users. This too is very simple! With the wiki page you wish to add the file to open in waterwiki, click "upload file" in the left-hand menu. Select the file you wish to add (must be in jpg, gif, png format). Click "upload". You will then see the document at the foot of the page (e.g Media:watersupply.jpg. To move the file elsewhere on the page, click the "Edit" tab at the top of page, and move the text to the new location on the page. Save.

Image File

In order for an image file to appear, the prefix Media in Media:watersupply.jpg, must be changed to Image, so it reads Image:watersupply.jpg. Do this through the "Edit" tab. To position the photo on the left or right-hand side of the page, add |left or |right to the end of the upload text. It will now read Image:wateruspply.jpg|right and the image will appear on the right-hand side of your newly conributed article for all to see and appreciate!! Give it a go!
