Mission/Mandate
The Bratislava Regional Center (BRC) - UNDP's Service Center for the 24 Country Offices in (South-) Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union - supports the country offices and RBEC-New York, and links them to one another. The BRC supports country offices by providing policy advising and backstopping services delivered by UNDP’s Bureau of Development Policy, as well as by RBEC’s regional specialists. The BRC also manages regional projects (conducted in at least three countries), and helps to capture and disseminate development knowledge and experience for replication throughout the region.

UNDP/BRC's Energy and Environment (E&E) Practice focuses on Water Governance, Kyoto Protocol implementation mechanisms, Biodiversity Conservation, Sustainable Agriculture and land-use, and access to energy and efficiency measures, and integration of environmental concerns into economic and social policies.
