Mission/Mandate
UNOPS provides operations management, contracting, and procurement services that help clients implement their projects and programmes. Its aim is to achieve the best results on time, on budget, and in ways that build local capacity whenever possible. Although part of the United Nations family, UNOPS is self-financing and the management fees paid by clients cover the entire cost of providing its services. UNOPS respects and supports the values of the UN Charter, and applies the principles pertaining to the environment, labor standards, and human rights as described in the United Nations Secretary-General’s Global Compact.
