Symptoms include high fever, jaundice, severe muscular pains and vomiting (WHO et al. 2003).Transmission is associated with contact with infected animals or water contaminated with rat urine (WHO et al. 2003).Canine leptospirosis can affect dogs in both urban and suburban environments (Prescott 2008).
