A basic operational principle for GEF project development and implementation is that the public be involved at all stages. Public involvement consists of information dissemination, consultation, and stakeholder participation. The GEF employs a variety of means and techniques to facilitate public involvement in the design, implementation, and evaluation of GEF-financed projects.
